Q) Why use an agent? Isn't it cheaper just to book the act directly?
NO. We're here to negotiate the best possible price for you as we book them regularily and, most importantly, booking through an agent gives additional safeguards which can be invaluable if things go wrong. The contracts issued by LiveShow Entertainment constitute a comprehensive, legally binding document between the client and the act, helping to ensure that everything goes off without a hitch. But, if the act has to pull out through illness or other unforeseen problem, we'll work hard to find you a replacement, even if it's at the last minute. And in the rare case that something goes wrong, as an objective third party we'll do all we can to mediate and rectify the situation.
Q) What payment methods do you accept?
To make a payment, you can make payments online via Paypal, Credit/Debit Card or use your Online Banking to run a Bank Transfer directly to our Bank Account. We also accept cheques posted to us, this can take longer due to cheque clearance by the bank. BACS & CHAPS is also accepted if you have a means to do this. For payment of act fees, we allow Cash on the Night or payment via cheque or bank transfer no later than 7 days prior to the event.?
Q) How do I search for an Act?
Our website has been specifically designed with you in mind and consequently we have put the emphasis on it being ‘user friendly’ making it easy for you to navigate and find exactly what you are looking for. Clear and concise information on an easy to view uncluttered design will hopefully help to give you an enjoyable stress free experience.
You can search for an Act in two different ways: Firstly, you can click on the menu and select one of the subcategories to find a type of act you are interested in. Or you can search using our blue search box just at the top of this page.

Q) How much is one of your acts?
Well the best way to find out a price is to use the enquiry form at the bottom of all our pages on the website, drop us an email or give us a call. We cannot give you a price for all artists as it depends on various factors. They base their prices on things like: Travel Expenses, Band Wages, Hotels, Food, Distance, Agency Fee's, Time of the Year.
Q) Do the wedding bands perform a special first dance request?
Some bands may do this, it is worth asking when booking however some bands may request an additional fee to cover their time and rehearsal fees.
Q) We would like a band and DJ for our wedding - What do we need to know?
If you want a DJ with the band then first consider how much space is available in the venue. If the band and DJ are booked separately then both will arrive with PA and lighting which can take up considerable room. Some bands can provide a DJ service whereby the DJ shares the PA and lighting to save on space and costs. Alternatively some of the wedding bands featured here can provide music in between sets through a laptop or Ipad, the music is generally a playlist compiled by the band including popular music from 60's to present day and is left unmanned during the bands breaks. This service is free of charge and will save you space and money.
Q) Will the band need somewhere to get changed?
In most cases yes, if a room or area can be provided where the band can get changed and leave there belongings the band would really appreciate this. Sometimes for our tribute acts this will be essential, as they may have quick changes. Please Note: That toilets are not acceptable as changing or rest facilities for any act.
Q) Will the band need food or refreshments?
Normally if the band is traveling a long distance to the venue then it is appropriate to offer sandwiches/refreshments on arrival. Many bands are happy to take part in evening buffets, barbeques if convenient. Always check with us and we will let you know what they need, and in most cases they will have their own Rider Requirments that we can send you.
Q) I want to book a live band what do I need to know?
If you are planning on booking a live band for your wedding, party or corporate event here are few important things to consider:
Ask your venue what the performance space is, this help will determine what size band is suitable. For example if the venues performance area is 4 x 4 meters then a solo / duo / 3 - 4 piece band will be suitable. A six piece band may struggle to work within this space.
Check with the venue if they have a noise policy, some venues have decibel meters which cut the power to the band if they go over a certain volume and regaining power can some times take up to 10 minutes to re-set, this can be very annoying for both parties. Please make the band aware before hand to make sure they can accommodate.
Check with us how may electrical sockets the band may require and then make sure the venue can accommodate.
If the event is in a marquee please make sure there is sufficient power sockets, if the power is being provided by a generator please check with the band how much power is required for example a 4 piece band with PA and Lighting will need approx 30 KVA (kilo volt amps) generator just for their equipment alone.
Please check with the venue as many have a no smoke machine policy, and some acts will bring these as standard to accomadate any lighting effects.
